How do I record evidence of a coral's growth?

Capture a coral specimen's weight, length, height, a photo and notes during an Update Coral action on the CTS mobile app.

Recording evidence of growth captures a specimen's latest measurements, a photo and notes, so its traceability record shows how it has developed over time. You do this with the Update Coral action on the Coral Traceability Solution (CTS) mobile app, choosing the Update status option (a routine update that keeps the specimen active).

Record growth

To record evidence of growth:

  1. On the Home screen, tap Update Coral.

  2. Scan each specimen's tag so it appears in the Scanned items list.

  3. In the Update status dropdown, choose Update status.

  4. Tap a scanned item to open its Capture evidence of growth screen.

  5. Enter Weight (g), Length (mm) and/or Height (mm), and tap Tap to take photo under Specimen photo to add a photo.

  6. Optionally tap Add notes to add a note, then tap Add to save and return.

  7. Tap Update coral to save. A confirmation notification appears (for example, 'Batch updated!').

The measurements, photo and notes are optional, so record whatever you have. The icons next to each item show what you have added.
