After you have scanned coral on the Australian Wildlife Traceability System (AWTS) mobile app, you can add a weight and a photo to each scanned specimen. These details are optional but make the record more complete. Weight or length may also be required as part of a captive breeding program approval alongside a photo as part of the traceability evidence.
To learn how scanning works, see How do I choose or change my scanning method (RFID, QR or Visual ID)?
Open the Add weight and photo screen
On the scanning screen, tap a scanned item (or its weight or camera icon) to open the Add weight and photo screen.
Add a photo
In the Specimen photo section, tap Tap to take photo, capture the photo, check the preview (you can retake it), and tap Add. The camera icon next to the item updates and you return to the scanning screen.
Add a weight
Tap the Weight (g) field, enter the weight (for example, '85'), and tap Add. The weight icon next to the item updates and you return to the scanning screen.
Repeat for each specimen
You return to the scanning screen after adding each weight or photo, so you can repeat these steps for every scanned specimen before you tap Register coral.
