How do I change the requirements on an Order, or ask for a change?

Edit the requirements on one Order from its Compliance tab, create your own Order template for repeat needs, or ask support.

You can change which compliance requirements an Order has in three ways: edit them on that one Order, set up your own Order template so that matching Orders get the requirements you want, or ask the OriginsNext support team to review a pre-configured template. Pre-configured requirements are a starting point, and you decide which requirements fit your circumstances.

For where requirements come from, see Where do an Order's compliance requirements come from?

Change the requirements on one Order

Changes made on the Order's Compliance tab apply to that Order. To change an Order's requirements:

  1. Open the Order and select the Compliance tab.

  2. On Order compliance requirements, click Edit. The Edit order compliance requirements window opens.

  3. To add evidence requirements, search the Evidence Templates in Evidence requirements and tick Add. Optionally, tick Counterparty can generate.

  4. To remove a requirement, untick it.

  5. To change the traceability requirement, choose another location type in Trace back to.

  6. Click Save.

Note: You do not need to remove optional supporting requirements: an unmet optional requirement does not affect the Order's compliance status. A report can also be generated while items are outstanding; you decide when the Order is complete.

For each field in the window, see How do I add compliance requirements to an Order?

Set up your own Order template for repeat needs

If you need the same requirements on many Orders, create your own Order template instead of editing each Order. Go to Order Compliance > Order Templates, click + Add order template, set the matching criteria and choose the Evidence Templates to require. New Orders that match get those requirements automatically.

If you need different supporting requirements from those in a pre-configured Evidence Template, create your own Evidence Template with its own supporting requirements, and use it in your Order template.

Ask for a change to a pre-configured template

If you think a pre-configured template, for example your ecosystem's report for a country and commodity, should ask for something different, give feedback to the OriginsNext support team. Message the team from the chat in OriginsNext and include:

  • the Order, for example its Sales order ID;

  • the name of the template or requirement;

  • what you would like changed, and why.

Important: The support team reviews feedback on pre-configured templates. It does not advise on what any regulation requires for your Order: you decide which requirements fit your circumstances.
