An Order in OriginsNext records a trade: who it is with, where the goods travel and which products are involved. Once the Order exists you allocate the products that fulfil it and collect the evidence it needs. You create an Order from Order Compliance > Orders by clicking + New order. On the WoodFlow EUDR Home screen, you can also click Add order under Manage orders and EUDR reports.
Before you start
Before you create an Order, have ready the buyer, your sales order ID, the departure and destination Locations, and the product types and quantities. If the buyer or a Location is not in OriginsNext yet, you can add it while you fill in the form.
The short form and the full form
The New order form comes in two layouts, depending on your ecosystem:
Short form (WoodFlow EUDR): shows only the required fields first. Click Show additional fields to expand it to the full set of fields.
Full form (all other ecosystems): shows every field at once, including a Sales Order / Purchase Order toggle and a Counterparty field in place of Buyer.
The fields are the same in both layouts. The sections below describe each one.
Order details
The Order details section records who the Order is with and your references for it:
Buyer (required): start typing to search. ONX Suggestions lists the likely matches first. If the buyer is not listed, choose Add "<name>" as new participant to add them without leaving the form.
Sales order ID (required): your reference for the Order.
Order date (required): defaults to today. Click Today to reset it.
Show additional fields adds these optional fields:
Specify different buyer and seller: use this when the buyer and seller are not simply you and the organisation you selected.
Purchase order ID: the buyer's reference, if you have it.
B/L number and Invoice number: the bill of lading and commercial invoice numbers for the shipment. These appear on the Order Overview and on reports generated for the Order.
Contract terms: the agreed terms for the trade, selected from the list.
Logistics details
The Logistics details section records where the goods travel:
Departure location (required) and Destination location (required): start typing to search. ONX Suggestions lists likely Locations first, followed by Your ecosystem. You can add a new Location without leaving the form.
+ Add final destination: add this if the goods continue beyond the first destination.
Estimated date of departure and Estimated date of arrival: optional planned dates.
Transportation method: how the goods travel, for example by sea or road.
Product details
The Product details section records what is being traded:
Product type (required): start typing to search the Product Templates available to you, then select one.
Quantity (required): the amount ordered. Choose the unit from the list beside it, for example mt, kg, m³ or piece(s).
+ Add another product type: add a line for each extra product in the Order.
Create the Order
To create the Order:
Go to Order Compliance > Orders and click + New order.
Fill in the required fields in Order details, Logistics details and Product details, and any additional fields you need.
Click Create order. On the full form you can instead click Create order and add requirements.
If you click Cancel, OriginsNext asks you to confirm. Click Discard order to lose what you entered, or Keep editing to go back to the form.
What happens after you create the Order
After you create the Order, OriginsNext takes you to the next step:
Short form: the Order's Products tab opens with the Allocate products window, so you can record the products that fulfil the Order straight away. When you finish allocating, the Compliance tab opens.
Full form: Create order opens the Order, and Create order and add requirements opens the step to set its compliance requirements.
If compliance requirements are pre-configured for the Order's origin country and commodity (HS code), they appear on the Order's Compliance tab automatically. If not, you can add them yourself. Either way, you decide whether they fit your circumstances and can change them on the Order.
To record the products that fulfil the Order, see How do I allocate products to an Order, including manual batches?
For adding or changing requirements, see How do I add compliance requirements to an Order? For the badge the Order shows, see What do the Order statuses mean?
