You can share an Evidence with other organisations in your supply chain, such as buyers, certifiers or financiers, so they can see it in OriginsNext. You share an Evidence with Share on the Evidence, and you see who has access on its Sharing tab.
Share an Evidence
To share an Evidence with another organisation:
Go to Evidence Tracking > Evidences and open the Evidence.
Click Share at the top of the Evidence.
Choose the organisation (Trusted Party) you want to share it with.
Optionally, in Notify people, pick a contact or type an email address to tell someone the Evidence has been shared. You can add up to 5 people.
Confirm the share.
OriginsNext confirms that the Evidence has been shared. People you notified receive an email if they have an OriginsNext account.
Note: Email addresses you add in Notify people are saved as contacts for that organisation, so you can pick them next time. New recipients are invited if they do not have access yet.
Notify people later
To tell more people at an organisation about an Evidence you have already shared with it, click Notify for that organisation. In the Notify people at window, pick contacts or type email addresses, then confirm. People with an OriginsNext account receive an email.
See who an Evidence is shared with
The Sharing tab on an Evidence lists the organisations it is shared with, in these columns:
Column | What it shows |
Trusted Parties | The organisations that have access. |
Shared By | The organisation that shared the Evidence. |
Shared via | How it was shared: Direct when it was shared from the Evidence itself, or Order when it was shared through an Order. |
Created At | When access was granted. |
Last Updated | When the share was last changed. |
Actions | Remove sharing, or enable or disable access. |
An Evidence shared through an Order is managed from that Order's Sharing tab, not from the Evidence.
Tip: You can update or revoke sharing at any time to keep control of who can see the Evidence.
To stop sharing, see How do I revoke or remove shared Evidence? To share an Order, see How do I view and manage the Sharing permissions in an Order?
