When you allocate coral to an Order, how you allocate a specimen depends on its CITES source code. Tagged, captive-bred coral already exists as Products in OriginsNext, so you select it from inventory. Wild coral is not tracked as individual Products, so you record it manually as a quantity against the Order. Both are done in the Allocate window on the Order's Products tab.
Allocating by source code
Source code | How to allocate |
F (Farmed) and C (Captive-bred) | These specimens are tagged and already exist as Products in OriginsNext. Use Select inventory in the Allocate window and tick the relevant products. |
W (Wild) | Wild coral is not tagged or tracked as individual Products. Use Record manually to record the quantity against the Order. This marks the quantity as allocated without creating tracked products. |
