When you scan fragments during a Frag Coral action on the Australian Wildlife Traceability System (AWTS) mobile app, two toggles record what happened to the broodstock colony and its tag. Setting them correctly keeps the traceability accurate.

What happens to the broodstock?
This toggle records whether the broodstock colony survives the fragmentation:
Take piece: a fragment is cut from the broodstock and the broodstock colony remains intact.
Divide into frags: the broodstock is fully split into fragments, so the original colony no longer exists as it was.
What happens to the existing tag?
This toggle records what happens to the original broodstock tag when you fully split the colony:
Keep: the original tag stays with one of the pieces.
Discard: the original tag is discarded and all fragments receive new tags.
