How do I integrate with OriginsNext?

Integrate your systems with OriginsNext from Settings > Integrations: create API credentials under API access, or connect EU TRACES.

You integrate your own systems, such as an ERP (enterprise resource planning) system, with OriginsNext through the OriginsNext client API (application programming interface). An integration lets your systems read and write OriginsNext data, for example to upload, share and download data. You set up integrations in Settings, on the Integrations tab.

The Integrations tab

The Integrations tab in Settings brings your connections to other systems together in one place:

  • API access: create and manage the credentials your own systems use to connect to the OriginsNext client API.

  • EU TRACES: connect your TRACES account so you can submit from your Orders after you review them.

Connect your system through the API

To connect your system to OriginsNext through the API, an Administrator creates API credentials on the Integrations tab and your system uses them to authenticate.

  1. Make sure you are an Administrator for your organisation in OriginsNext.

  2. Click your account name in the top-right corner and select Settings.

  3. Select the Integrations tab.

  4. On the API access card, click Manage credentials.

  5. Click Add API credentials and complete the dialog:

    • Token Name: a meaningful name for your integration (for example, Inventory Platform Integration).

    • Expires On: the date when the credentials should expire.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Copy the Client Id and the secret that are shown, and store the secret securely. Each secret is shown only once, when the credentials are created.

  8. Use these credentials to authenticate your system with the OriginsNext API using standard OAuth 2.0 flows.

  9. Confirm your system can access the API endpoints relevant to your use case (for example, products, events and evidence).

Note: Always begin integration development in the Sandbox environment, so you can test safely before you use production credentials. Contact OriginsNext Support for Sandbox access if it is not yet enabled.
