Administrators in OriginsNext can generate API credentials to integrate third-party software with the OriginsNext API. These credentials allow secure, automated access to your supply chain data.
Note: Only Administrators can create and manage API credentials.
Generate API credentials
The API Credentials tab lists existing credentials with the columns Status, Client Id, Token Name and Expires On.
To generate API credentials:
Click your account name in the top-right corner and select Settings.
Select the API Credentials tab.
Click + ADD API CREDENTIALS and complete the dialog:
Token Name: a name that describes the integration (for example, ERP Sync or Sensor Upload).
Expires On: the date (dd/mm/yyyy) when the token should expire.
Click Save to generate the credential.
Copy your credentials. You will now see a Client Id and Client Secret. Copy and store the Client Secret securely, as it cannot be retrieved again after you leave this screen.
Important: If the Client Secret is not copied immediately, the credential must be regenerated, as OriginsNext does not store the secret for security reasons.
