How do I create API credentials?

Create secure API credentials to integrate with OriginsNext

Admin users in OriginsNext can generate API credentials to integrate third-party software with the OriginsNext API. These credentials allow secure, automated access to your supply chain data.

Note: Only Admin users can create and manage API credentials.

Steps to generate API credentials:

  1. Click your profile name in the top right corner and go to Settings.

  2. Select the API Credentials tab.

  3. Click Add API Credentials.
    Fill in the required fields:

    • Credential Name – Describe the purpose of the integration (e.g., ERP Sync, Sensor Upload)

    • Expiration Date – Choose when the token should expire

  4. Click Save to generate your credentials.
    Copy your credentials:

    • You will now see a Client ID and Client Secret.

    • Copy and store the Client Secret securely—it cannot be retrieved again after you leave this screen.

Important: If the Client Secret is not copied immediately, it will need to be regenerated, as OriginsNext does not store it for security reasons.
