Orders in OriginsNext include two distinct views to help you manage and monitor compliance and traceability across your supply chain: the Planned View and the Actual View. Each view serves a different purpose based on the lifecycle stage of the order and the data available.
You can view the Orders current view in the header at the top of the screen beside the order number. Green status view indicates ‘Actual View’, whereas an orange status view indicates ‘Planned View’. This status includes a toggle switch to change between the views.
Planned View
The Planned View is used when an order is being created or prepared. It shows the intended product allocations, planned logistics, and the expected sources of evidence. Use this view to:
Review what Products are intended to fulfil the Order
Pre-define Evidence Requirements and identify compliance gaps
Allocate Products based on availability and compliance forecasts
Simulate and plan Order traceability before execution
Important: The Planned View requires products to be planned via the Products tab before data will be shown.
Actual View
The Actual View reflects the real-world data that has been confirmed and recorded after the order has progressed or been fulfilled. It includes actual product events and final evidence records. Use this view to:
Monitor traceability based on verified Events and Product allocations
Review completed Evidence and data submitted by participants
Identify discrepancies between planned and actual outcomes
Generate compliance documentation for regulatory or buyer requirements
Important: The Actual View requires products to be allocated to the Order via the Products tab before data will be shown. Products are allocated to an order via events.
You can toggle between Planned and Actual views within the Order screen to compare intended versus completed activities, helping you close traceability gaps and ensure compliance across your supply chain.
