What is the OriginsNext platform?

OriginsNext is one traceability platform to collect, share and submit supply chain data, behind SoyNet, CoffeeNet, AWTS and WoodFlow EUDR.

OriginsNext is a single platform for supply chain traceability across all types of commodities, products and materials. It connects the organisations in a supply chain into a digital ecosystem, where each party can record events, attach Evidence, manage Orders and share data with the organisations they choose. The platform is modular, configurable and built for complex, multi-party supply chains.

What the platform helps you do

OriginsNext is a tool for collecting, organising and sharing the supply chain data you choose to record. With the platform you can:

  • Record where products come from, including Locations and their boundaries, and trace products back through the supply chain.

  • Collect Evidence, such as certificates, permits and trade documents, for organisations, Locations, Products and Orders.

  • Report on chain of custody, including segregated batch tracking and mass balance.

  • Set up the evidence an Order needs, using pre-configured requirements where they exist or your own, then generate reports and share them with other organisations on the platform.

  • Submit Order data to the EU TRACES system for EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Orders, after you have reviewed it.

Note: OriginsNext does not provide regulatory or legal advice, and it does not decide whether your data meets any regulation. You decide what applies to you, and you review your data before anything is submitted.

For the frameworks that have pre-configured templates or integrations, see What regulations does OriginsNext support?

One platform, many solutions

OriginsNext is one platform with a single interface. Industry solutions such as SoyNet, CoffeeNet, the Australian Wildlife Traceability System (AWTS) and WoodFlow EUDR all run on it: they are the same platform configured for a particular commodity, rather than separate products. For solution-specific help, see:

Solution

What it covers

Soy supply chains.

Coffee supply chains.

Coral, as the world's first coral traceability solution.

Timber supply chains, with its own Help Centre.

The ecosystem your organisation belongs to shapes what you see in OriginsNext, such as the tiles on your Home screen, some labels and some forms. The underlying screens are the same, so these help articles apply whichever solution you use.

For how ecosystems work, see What is a Digital Ecosystem in OriginsNext? OriginsNext also includes a built-in layer of artificial intelligence; see What is ONX AI?
